Best thing about VFuel:
Great tasting, smooth consistency, easy on the stomach.

I began my running career in 7th grade, when looking for a sport to help me stay in shape for baseball.  After realizing that I was much better at running than I was at baseball, I decided to stick with it.  I ran all throughout high school, and then made the transition to run collegiately for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.  I accumulated four Division II All-American honors, and starting kindling my dreams of running beyond college.

I left Lock Haven in 2011, and spent the next few months at my home in Pennsylvania pondering what to do next with my life.  After much thinking, I decided to move to Flagstaff, AZ in October of 2012 with a great friend of mine.  In Flagstaff I began to take my running career much more seriously, and started to compete at the national level.  In August of 2013, at the AFC 1/ 2 Marathon in San Diego, I officially qualified for the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials, by virtue of a 1:04.41 ½ marathon debut.

Since that race, I’ve been focused on getting as fast as I can.  My ultimate goal is to break 2:10 for the marathon, and give myself the best possible chance at making the 2020 Olympic Team.  Long term I plan to compete at distances ranging from the 3000 meter steeplechase through the marathon and beyond.  Along with all the road stuff, one of my biggest life goals is to be competitive at the Western States 100.

The sport has been my life since I was 12 years old, and I hope it continues to be my life until I’m 112.  Happy running!
